This candy is a festive way to celebrate the holidays with a treat that you can make ahead of time. It's a fudgy candy that can be colored, decorated, and cut!

Make This Recipe

Ingredients

Cooking Spray

6 Tbsp. Eggland's Best 100% Egg Whites

3 2/3 c. sugar

1 c. water

1 c. corn syrup

1 tsp. vanilla extract

food coloring

sprinkles

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine the corn syrup, sugar, and water. Stir continuously over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, then let it sit without stirring until it has reached 260°F on a candy thermometer.
  2. While that is cooking, line a cookie sheet with raised edges with parchment paper and spray it with cooking spray.
  3. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on high until stiff peaks form.
  4. When the candy mixture has reached 260°F, slowly pour it into the mixing bowl while the whisk is still running on high. Once all has been added, you will let it mix on high for at least ten minutes, but anywhere from 10-15 minutes until the mixture is thick and has lost the glossy finish. If you want to color your Divinity, now is the time to add that food coloring while it mixes.
  5. Add in mix-ins! I added sprinkles to mine but some people add nuts. It also tastes great with no add-ins!
  6. Turn off the mixture and scrape it all onto the cookie sheet. After I've spread it out, I like to spray the second piece of parchment paper, lay it on top and roll over that to give a nice smooth top.
  7. Add your toppings! I added a fun sprinkle mixture to give mine a Christmas look. Make sure to press them in so they don't fall off.
  8. Let it set. I let mine set for 12 hours but anything from 8-12 hours of sitting should allow them to set.
  9. Once set you can cut them into fun shapes with a knife or cookie cutters!

Recipe Notes: I like to make it a few days ahead of parties to give it time to really set.
