Red Pepper Asiago Gougere Bites
These warm, savory mini bites are a perfect holiday appetizer.

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 4 Eggland's Best Eggs (large)
- 1 cup (4 ounces) finely shredded Asiago or Parmesan cheese
- 1 2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil
Preparation
Heat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
Place water and butter in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil.
Reduce heat to low; stir in flour and garlic salt vigorously until mixture leaves sides of pan and forms a ball.
Remove from heat. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each addition, until mixture is smooth.
Stir in cheese, bell pepper and basil.
Immediately drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
