Make This Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb. pizza dough
1 Eggland's Best egg, large
1 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
1 cup cherry mozzarella cheese
1 cup ham in cubes
1 cup tomato sauce
Fresh herbs for decoration
1 tbsp. flour to dust
Preparation
- Cut the mozzarella, ham and tomatoes in small cubes and set aside.
- Prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Dust a surface with flour and roll the pizza dough in a rectangular shape. Flip the dough and dust with flour several times to keep the surface elastic and thin. Keep rolling up until obtaining a 1/8 inch thickness. Cut the pizza dough in squares.
- Place one/two cubes of your choice of filling in the center of each dough square and close it with your hands creating a small ball. Keep filling the dough squares.
- Place the dough balls one attached to the other on the parchment paper forming a tall triangular shape, our Christmas tree.
- Brush the surface of the tree with a beaten egg. Bake the pizza tree in the preheated oven to 400F for 20-25 minutes.
- Let the pizza cool down for 5 minutes, transfer on a serving plate or surface and decorate your tree with fresh herbs. Add a cup of your favorite tomato sauce as tree top and enjoy!
