Oven French Toast
This Oven French Toast is rich, custardy, and delicious. It can be prepped ahead of time to make it easier to enjoy special occasions or weekend mornings!

Ingredients
4 Eggland's Best eggs, Large
1 Cup Whole Milk
1/4 Cup Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
Pinch of Salt
Optional Powdered Sugar and/or Syrup for Serving
Preparation
- Place the bread slices in an 8x8 baking dish, slightly overlapping so they fit.
- n a medium bowl, whisk together the Eggland's Best eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread, evenly coating each slice. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and put it in the fridge for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Remove the dish from the fridge and let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes while oven preheats. Bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
- Optionally top with powdered sugar or syrup- or both!
