Bring a taste of Japan to your kitchen tonight with this Omurice recipe. This Japanese stir-fried rice with eggs features bacon, peppers, onions, soy sauce and more. Add a pop of color to your Omurice with a sprinkle of parsley and voila! Enjoy!

Ingredients

8 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices

1/2 cup each chopped green peppers and onions

3 cups cooked medium-grain white rice, cooled

1 tsp. lite soy sauce

6 Tbsp. HEINZ Tomato Ketchup, divided

1 tsp. oil

6 Eggland’s Best eggs, large, beaten

Preparation

  1. COOK and stir bacon and vegetables in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 5 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  2. ADD rice; stir. Cook 3 min., stirring frequently. Add soy sauce and 1/4 cup (4 Tbsp.) ketchup; cook and stir 1 min. Spoon onto serving plate; spread into oval-shaped mound on plate.
  3. WASH and dry skillet. Heat oil in skillet on medium heat. Add eggs; cook 15 sec., stirring constantly. Tilt skillet to evenly spread eggs onto bottom of skillet. Cook, without stirring, 3 min. or just until eggs are softly set.
  4. SLIP eggs from skillet over rice. Serve topped with remaining ketchup.

Cooking Know-How: You will need to cook 1-1/4 cups medium-grain white rice in 1-3/4 cups water to get the 3 cups cooked rice needed to prepare this delicious recipe

Special Extra: Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
