Jewish Coffee Cake
Our Nana has passed this recipe down from generation to generation. This is one of our ultimate favorite desserts. Eggland’s Best are the only eggs we use. It is very important to us. They are so creamy and bake wonderfully with all of our cherished recipes that have been passed down and we still make new recipes to add to our family cookbook!

Ingredients
Cake
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 pound butter
- 2 large Eggland’s Best eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
Topping
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
- Cream together sugar, Eggland’s Best eggs and butter.
- Mix together all dry ingredients, then add to creamed ingredients.
- Alternate with sour cream (dry, sour cream, dry, etc.)
- Pour batter into greased pan, then mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle over the top of the batter.
- Take a butter knife and cut topping into the batter.
