Homemade Belgian Waffles
Everyone loves waffles! I've made sure to make these use natural, organic ingredients eliminating preservatives and seed oils! You can also get creative for each of your friends and family - in addition (or as a substitute) to syrup, try berries, your favorite nut butter or even dark chocolate chips!
Make This Recipe
Ingredients
1 3/4 C All-Purpose Flour
1 TB Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 Eggland's Best Large Eggs Yolks
1 3/4 C Milk
1/2 C Coconut Oil
2 Eggland's Best Large Egg Whites
Preparation
- In medium mixing bowls, stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center and set aside.
- In another medium mixing bowl, beat egg yolks slightly. Stir in milk and oil. Add this mixture to the dry mixture - stir just until moist (will be lumpy).
- In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the mixture, being careful not to overmix. Some egg "fluffs," should remain.
- Pour waffle mixture into your waffle maker. Amount and times will vary based on your model. Cook according to your maker's instructions.
- Top with your favorite toppings, including fresh berries and REAL maple syrup!
Also a great option for dessert - use smaller serving sizes, top with ice cream and hot fudge!
