Grandma’s Cornbread

Ingredients
4 Eggland's Best eggs, large
2 cups skim milk
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
2 cups yellow cornmeal
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup granulated sugar
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F; spray a 9 X 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium size bowl, mix eggs, milk and butter and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar with a large fork; slowly add the egg mixture to the cornmeal mixture, mixing well and mashing out any lumps.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
