Everyone's Favorite Everything Pretzel

Ingredients
For Dough:
1.5 cup warm water
1 packet active dry yeast
1 tbs. sugar
2 tsp. kosher salt
4.5 cups all-purpose flour
4 oz. unsalted butter
Before Baking:
2 Eggland's Best Eggs, yolks only
water
2/3 cup baking soda
everything bagel seasoning
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Dissolve sugar and salt in warm water, sprinkle active dry yeast on top and let sit until it bubbles.
- Slowly add in flour and melted butter. Combine until dough forms.
- Remove dough from mixer and coat bowl with oil. Place the dough back into bowl and let rest until dough as doubled in size. Keep in a warm area for about 1-2 hours.
- When the dough has doubled, roll it out and divide it into 8 even sections. Roll each section and twist into a pretzel shape.
- Boil 10 cups of water with 2/3 cup baking soda. When water comes to a rolling boil, place one pretzel in at a time for 30 seconds.
- Remove from water, brush with egg yolk wash and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes at 400°F. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes: These pretzels can be frozen and taste delicious reheated on the grill. Just wrap in foil while frozen and place on the BBQ until they are warm and toasty!
