Ingredients

Dough

3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet active dry yeast

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup whole milk

1/4 cup melted butter

1/4 cup water

1 Eggland's Best egg, large

Cranberry Filling

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

1/2 cup sugar

1 tbsp orange zest

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
  3. Add the milk, melted butter, water and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the remaining flour (about 2 1/4 cups) and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes,using a stand mixer.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  6. Meanwhile prepare the filling, in a small saucepan, combine cranberries and sugar over medium heat. Cook until the cranberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest.
  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 12x18 inches).
  8. Spread the cranberry filling evenly over the dough.
  9. Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from one of the long edges.
  10. Cut the roll into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  11. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  12. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  13. While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make a smooth glaze.
  14. Once the rolls are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top and enjoy.
