Upcycle your Eggland's Best carton with this fun and easy Rainbow Caterpillar craft. The colorful craft is a great way to reinforce color recognition and introduce children to the colors of the rainbow.

Recommended Age Group: Pre-K & up (with adult supervision)

This activity focuses on fine motor skills & hand-eye coordination.

SUPPLIES:

Eggland's Best egg carton (empty)
Googly eyes
Pipe cleaners
Non-toxic washable paint
Paint brushes
Glue
Scissors

STEP 1:

Use scissors to cut the lid off your Eggland's Best egg carton. Then cut the carton in half lengthwise to create two sets of 6 "egg cups". Paint each egg cup a different color to mimic the rainbow. Allow the paint to dry.

TIP: Use the extra half as a palette for your paints

STEP 2:

Trim a pipe cleaner to make two antennas, approximately 3 inches each. Gently poke each pipe cleaner into the top of the caterpillar (the first egg cup). Glue googly eyes onto the caterpillar to create a face; allow glue to dry.
